For the Mother of the Groom this is an important day. You watch as your son, possibly your only child bring a new person into your family. For the Mother of the Bride this is one of the most important days. You watch as your daughter, possibly your only daughter, marry into a new family. Now don't think of it as losing her, think of it as gaining so much more. From that point you are instantly gaining more members of the family as well as the dream of new members of the family in the future. On this wonderful day you want to look your best. You want to be able to go back and look at the pictures and think... Dang I looked GOOD! And guess what... it is so possible. Especially now a days, Watters and Watters, Montage, and Marisa Baratelli are great designers for MOB's and MOG's.

I hope everyone is catching on to the fact that Watters is one of my favorite designers. Watters creates pieces for everyone and they are always wonderful. For the MOB's and MOG's that follow fashion and are always up-to-date Watters is perfect for you.  With sleek one piece outfits to beautiful two piece outfits Watters can't go wrong. They have several different kinds of fabrics from Shantung to Taffeta and even Silks. You are sure to find something for the big day and even something for other wonderful events.

For my MOB's and MOG's who like a little sparkle and bling in their wardrobe Montage is perfect for you. Of course there are some beautiful simple, elegant, and flowy gowns, but what has caught my eye in the past is the beautiful bead work a lot of these dresses have. In both one pieces and two pieces the beauty keeps going.

Marisa Baratelli is not a new designer but is somewhat new to me. Her dresses are beautiful pieces of work. Similar to Watters and Watters in the sense that they are more fashion forward. Using bright colors and patterns but at the same time keeping them age appropriate yet fun and flirty. By using Taffeta with the bright colors it brings out a fun younger you without have to wear something that makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin. Again, this is your day too so live it up.

The Flowergirl is the last person you see before the bride so she needs to sparkle. U.S. Angels and Wa Wa from Watters are two great flowergirl designers. Whether or not you want your flowergirl to match you (and I use the word match loosely) or if you just want them to compliment you they will have the perfect dresses.

U.S. Angels is all about the cute factor. Your little flowergirl will look adorable in her ruffled, organza or pick-up styled dress. These dresses have ways to bring in your colors and even some of the cutest accessories.

Wa Wa from Watters is a little more sleek and sophisticated. If you have an older flowergirl Wa Wa might be what you're looking for. However, they look great on all ages and sizes. They have great colors and styles. The best way to see these great dresses would be to visit the website.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

So last week we talked about how every bride should feel like and look like a princess on their wedding day, but that does not mean her bridesmaids should feel like or look like the ugly stepsisters. Being a bridesmaid is an important job. They are there to help the bride get through the day with ease; which means they deserve to look pretty too. Good thing designers have finally figured out how to create beautiful bridesmaid's dresses! Designers like Watters/ WTOO, Dessy/After Six/Alfred Sung, and Melissa Sweet really have a knack for bridesmaids dresses. With their dresses you could actually wear them again. I promise.

Not only does Watters & Watters make great wedding dress but their bridesmaid dresses are just a great. For those of you who like sleek and sophisticated... here you go! These dresses have great lines, fabrics and colors; which you can mix and match! Plus when wearing a Watters dress you don't feel like just a bridesmaid.

Dessy/ After Six/ Alfred Sung each have their own style. Yet each designer really knows how to a bridesmaid and make them feel beautiful. If you're a fun and flirty kind of girl... here you go! These designers have dared to use patterns and you know what? They have done a great job!

Now Melissa Sweet is all about high fashion! Great designs, beautiful colors, and classic looks made modern. If you're into the always trendy and looking for new ideas in fashion Melissa is the designer for you. With her designs don't be afraid to add bold accessories. She loves hats, gloves, feathers and belts with lots of bling!

Well bridesmaids, I hope these designers - and trust me there are many more- can help you feel like the beautiful and important friend you are! Don't think of yourself as the ugly stepsister in the Cinderella story wedding... instead, think of yourself as a princess in training. Or, if you're already married. think of yourself as the beautiful friend who might be able to reenact her own wedding night all over again!

Kate Middleton might have lucked out by becoming an actual Princess Bride but for everyone else who just wants to feel like a Princess Bride here are some fashionable tips.

Growing up, most of us watched as Ariel, Cinderella and Belle said “I do” in what cartoon standards would be a beautiful ball gown. The full skirted gown is what we think about when we think of princess wedding gowns… but it doesn’t have to be.

In fact, I personally think Aurora from Sleeping Beauty had the right idea with the sleek A-Line gown.

Yes, there was still some body to the dress but it did not take away from the beauty of the bride.

Over time the “Princess Dress” has changed and Kate Middleton is being shown every style, so what will she choose…well I guess we will just have to wait and see. But for you, Princess, here are some ideas from the past, present and future.

Some of my favorite designers are Watters & Watters, Pronovias, Maggie Sottero,  Lazaro, and Alvina Valenta. Of course there is Vera, Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de le Renta but if you are a cost cautious bride the above designers are just as good!

Watter’s Brides are chique modern brides! If you’re looking for an A-line

or Mermaid fit

this might be the designer for you. With wonderful rouching and beautiful embellishments Watter’s knows how to show off a bride’s beauty and style.

Pronovias Bride’s are fashion forward shoppers who are always looking for the “it” thing.

From ball gowns to “city” looks

to classic styles, Pronovias has it all. Pronovias Bride’s will love the European feel that each dress embraces. This designer is all about the accessories as well. From belts to hairpieces to jackets and brooches brides will never feel like they're missing something.

Alvina Valenta Brides are timeless and classic. If you’re looking for something vintage yet modern this designer might be your pick. With wonderful layers, lace, and sleek lines there are endless possibilities.

Whatever your style might be, there is a dress out there waiting for you. The designer and price tag should not be to sole reason for getting or not getting the dress of your dreams. When you put on the dress that makes you feel like you’re floating on air and can’t imagine your future husband seeing you in anything else- then you know for sure. Whether it is a classic Alvina Valenta, a modern Pronovias or an elegant Maggie Sottero; if you’re happy and can picture yourself walking down the aisle in that dress - nothing else matters. Just remember, this is your Princess Wedding Day so Smile and Enjoy your beauty inside and out!

Since the announcement of the Royal Engagement... and even before, Kate Middleton has become quite the style icon! The press started giving tips on how to emulate her style, jewlers are already receiving a high demand for replicates of her sapphire ring before the ink even dried on their announcement!

"People are definitely excited about her style and wanting to look like her," says Glamour contributing style editor Tracey Lomrantz. Aside from the first lady, "we haven't had a big public figure who's really wowed us with her wardrobe for quite some time ... We're sort of starved for women who dress in a real, relatable way, and both of those women absolutely do."

When it comes to the future princess, there's a lot to emulate, Lomrantz says, from the glossy, long brown hair that had Glamour online commenters wondering where they could get the same blowout to her "elegant, tailored, classic" wardrobe. "She manages to look so polished and pretty and sophisticated at the same time," Lomrantz says.

I've been watching Kate's impact on style trends for a few seasons with the emergence of the fascinator she has worn to events and weddings.

These adoreable replacements for hats have worked their way into daily attire in the United States,

and even into bridal fashion,

often replacing veils for brides who want to show a little spunk in their day.

So now the question on MY mind is - will Kate wear a bridal fascinator OR will she opt for a traditional veil and headpiece - or start a new trend all together?
