I am in love with the richness of fall. I won't lie, it is my favorite time of year. I love sweaters, and scarves.... I love pulling out my hats and wool coats... and Boots... It seems like I've gone mad, talking about putting on so many layers right now, when it is 100 degrees outside (or close...Hot is Hot, right?) - but as a planner, we never live in the season we're in - as we are designing for the seasons to come!

I just stumbled upon this luscious warm inspiration board and thought I would share. For whatever reason, Fall has been linked to rustic, barns, country, vintage... but it doesn't have to be. I love working with a couple to make the wedding about THEM, not the TREND. You should wow your guests with a wedding that is so oh so unexpected, but exactly YOU.

I don't know about you, but now I want some chocolate!

Happy Planning!

Monday-Chromatic coming at you with a case of the post holiday Blues. The fact that it is raining and grey outside made me want to look at a happier shade, so I look to the beautiful shades of the sky and ocean! Two things that make me very happy!

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. lue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. Light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding, and softness. Dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.

Here are a few palettes I have gathered for you!

A fun, playfull use of blue and orange for a summer wedding:

My favorite combination - a classic chocolate and blue -

A beautiful cool palette for those winter wonderland weddings:

And of course, yours truly had a beach wedding, so I love the use of beachy blues:

When I meet with a bride, I tell her to start her own inspiration board, and to look at everything that catches her eye... not just bridal photos... I've pulled palette inspiration from a magazine selling candles and dishware before.... here's one way to find that "perfect shade of"

For our first Monday-Chromatic entry, I chose my favorite color - PURPLE! Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color.

A few inspiration boards to share with you:

Mixing shades of plum and pink create a soft palette for your guests to digest.

I love the richness of this for the fall!

Introducing a nice springy green will freshen up your wedding!
